China's central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan said today economic data including CPI and PPI in January and February are higher than what they forecast earlier.
Zhou made the remarks on the sideline of the annual session of China's National People's Congress, indicating a tighter monetary policy in the following months.
The central bank's current monetary policy is usually based on its forecast of economic data, Zhou said.
